About M.S. Coconut Industries — desiccated coconut powder manufacturer in India
M.S. Coconut Industries is one of India's oldest established manufacturers of desiccated coconut powder — known across the country as nariyal powder or nariyal burada. But our story with the coconut began long before we milled our first batch.
A family in the coconut trade for over 30 years
Our founder, Mr. Mohammed Sardar — whose initials give the company its name — comes from a family of coconut farmers in Karnataka. For more than three decades we have been one of the state's most trusted coconut wholesalers, with direct relationships across the farming community. Those roots let us source coconuts of any size and maturity, and they're why we understand this fruit better than a trader ever could.
From wholesale to manufacturing
In 1998 we brought that standard to manufacturing, opening our first desiccated coconut powder unit — M.S. Coconut Industries — in Anchepalya, Kunigal, about 60 km from Bangalore. Consistent quality drove demand quickly, and a second unit, M.S. Fahad Coconut Industries, followed beside the first. As our powder reached customers nationwide, we built our largest facility, M.S. Agro Industries, in Tiptur — one of Karnataka's most renowned coconut hubs.
Two brands, one uncompromising standard
Double Bell and Double Star earned their place by cutting through an overcrowded, adulterated market with one promise: pure, high-fat coconut, nothing added. That purity — grounded in the coconut belt of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu — is still the reason buyers stay.
